Can you describe yourself in one sentence?
Born perfectionist who like many laughs.
How long have you been piercer?
I pierce for almost 20 years.
Why this profession?
I exercise my job with passion and it makes me happy, as better person.
Piercing fits perfectly to my personality, it's precision work and I like to make people at ease during their stress time, by using my own inner peace and experience.
How or from whom did you learned the skills? I worked a couple of years at Wildcat and Roxy (both in Antwerp), while I had my own business.
in my own studio it was too restrictive, in terms of work experience at that time in my life.
It gave me a thorough knowledge of materials but also the chance to be with other piercers. Fascinated to see how everyone has other views
on the profession.
What was your first piercing?
My first piercing was a medusa?
Who or what inspires you?
I am especially inspired by body types, personalities, ...
Can you tell something about your studio/workspace?
My work place is indeed isolated from my shop. I've been an independent piercer for 20 years having my own shop, but recently I combine my two passions, namely piercing and designing retro wear in my shop Sweet p.
It is not evident to have both passions in one shop, I noticed. People soon think that you are a clothing store that pierce asside. but I don't worry, people know me for very long time now and satisfied customers spread the news like wildfire.

I prefer genital piercings in women, nipples ...
What is the best piece of advice you ever got when you started out and think it would help other starters in this industry?
My advice is to find a good piercer that will learn you the correct way, especially someone with passion and a good reputation.
Do you have a nice or weird experience as a piercer you'd like to share with us?
My oldest client is 96. I thought at first, she walked in the wrong store. She said she never had earrings, she wasn't allowed as a little girl by her parents, it was out of the question, in that time.
Now she came in for her first piercing, a belly button ring. She left happy with her husband, who must have been around the same age, he choose the colour of the piercing, because he couldn't see some colours clearly anymore. Beautiful.
Does your work involve more than just piercing?
I pierce, design clothes, run my shop and like to stay educated on both.
How do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I see my shop yet again expand, maybe a new shop and more new passions, although piercing is most closely to my heart.
